My newest work is derived from nature but not an imitation of it.

I am interested in the energy of plants, people, objects and the paint process which allows me to capture a theme I energetically connect to.

Exploring the medium, letting the process guide the paint, I make marks.
With the initial gestures and colors the steps for finding the painting begin.

Representational imagery as well as abstract expressionist principles interest me. The work has become an outpouring of many influences, a love of materials and a constant search for a personal, visual mode of expression.
